The Women’s Network of Estonian Police
The Women’s Network of Estonian Police (WNEP) was established 2003 in Tallinn.
The Women’s Network of Estonian Police (WNEP) is a network of female police officers and civil servants working in the Police- and Border Guard Board.
The goals of our network are:
• That the vocation of females employed by the police should be valued
• An exchange of best practices of different police organizations and to share international experiences
• Encourage females employed to candidate for managerial positions so thatthe number of women employed in managerial positions at the police is in proportion to the total number of women employed by the police
• Contribute to people´s social welfare and safety
The WNEP arranges different trainings, study days and meetings with other officers within the police and ohter bureaus, to acquaint ourselves with their work and learn best practices of how to achieve our goals.
Also, the WNEP cooperates with many womens organizations in Estonia and also with international organizations, to work together within different projects and programs, including charity.
Based on the WNEP constitution, there are active members, supporting members and honorary members in our organization.
The WNEP´s board consists of 7 members and is chaired by Sirje Sarapu, who is a police officer in Police- and Border Guard Board.
